Disney Signs 5-Year Deal to Stream UEFA Women's Champions League in Europe

The media company is set to produce all live matches and offer commentary in multiple languages.

Under a new deal, Disney+ will stream the UEFA Women’s Champions League across Europe. Streaming will begin on the platform this year.

  • Deadline is reporting that Disney has acquired the European streaming rights for the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
  • Under the new five year agreement, streaming will begin in October of this year and run through 2030.
  • The announcement was made just before the 2024/2024 season final between Arsenal and Barcelona on Sunday.
  • Disney is set to produce all live soccer/football matches and offer commentary in different languages. There is also expected to be content before and after matches.
  • This marks another major streaming acquisition for Disney as they also just recently grabbed CoComelon from Netflix.
