ESPN and Fortnite Collaborate Again for New ESPN Basketball Island Map

The collaboration is sure to be a slam-dunk experience.

Following the success of ESPN Football Island, ESPN is teaming up with Fortnite again to bring a new basketball experience to the popular video game.

What’s Happening:

  • ESPN and Fortnite have officially released a new basketball experience called ESPN Basketball Island.
  • In a second collaboration between the popular video game and sports network, the new map will bring basketball fans into a world of new gameplay and updated minigames.
  • Fans entering the new experience will be welcomed by ESPN SportsCenter anchors Randy Scott and Gary Striewski along with voice announcements by Arda Öcal.
  • Using the Island Code 5265-7665-9581, players will get to jump in to experiences like:
    • Dunk to Win: Team up with other players as you face off in a basketball-inspired Capture the Flag competitive game.
    • Swing Shot: Step aboard a Fornite Baller vehicle as you aim to launch yourself across the map and land inside a giant basketball hoop.
    • The Ocho Obstacle Sprint: Upping the difficulty level from ESPN Football Island, test your skills in a brand new ESPN 8: The Ocho-themed obstacle course.
    • The Boxtagon: The UFC collaboration returns from ESPN Football Islands, inviting players to faceoff in a 1v1 high intensity box fight.
  • The ESPN Basketball Island experience was developed in collaboration between ESPN, Disney Games, Epic Games, and developer Meta4 Interactive.

  • Fortnite is a free to play game from Epic Games available on all major gaming consoles and PC.
