Adventures By Disney's 2026 Grecian Itinerary is a Celebration of the Past and Present
Adventures by Disney recently shared two, brand new itineraries available for travelers next year. While they’ve traveled to the home of Hercules before, their newest Greecian itinerary is sure to be a perfect mix of history, adventure, and breathtaking scenery.
Greece: Mythology of Athens, Peloponnese & Rhodes is an 8 day adventure that traverses the country, allowing guests to experience all that Greece has to offer. Our friends at Mouse Fan Travel have cited this upcoming trip as one of their most anticipated Adventure by Disney experiences, so we thought it would only be right to dive deep into the itinerary and see what the trip has to offer.
Day 1 & 2: Travel & Athens
Guests will fly into Athens on their first day and have the opportunity to breathe and relax. Solo time will be given for everyone to get their bearings and deal with the (likely) jet lag that faces them. It’s always appreciated to have solo time on group trips, so this is a calming and enjoyable start. A welcome reception and dinner will end the night, but kick start the adventure with a rooftop reservation overlooking the Plaka District and Acropolis.
After a buffet breakfast, the first full day of the adventure will start with a guided tour of the Acropolis. One of the world’s most iconic landmarks, the tour will highlight the meaning behind its necessity for the ancient Greeks, while also allowing guests to get up-close with the Parthenon. The Plaka District will later take center stage, it being the oldest neighborhood in Athens (watch out and make sure “Jerk-ules" isn’t making a mess again), with a taverna lunch with live entertainment, a walking tour, and a pottery painting activity to allow everyone to create their own piece of art whilst being surrounded by it. The day will end with solo time for all to take in the city.
Day 3: Mycenae & Mafplio
Day 3 will take adventurers to Mycenas and Nafplio to soak up even more of the country’s rich past. After a buffet breakfast, guests will head to Corinth Coral, an engineering wonder of the past, to see the connective passage between the Ionian and Aegean Seas. The first Greeks, the Mycenaean civilization, is now a robust archeological site, where guests will be able to check out artifacts and the on-site museum and witness stunning views from where the Royal Palace once stood. That will be followed up with a trip to the Tomb of Agamemnon to see how ancient Greeks worshipped.
Lunch will take place at an organic farm, where a bit of baking will take place. Adventurers will make classic orange cookies, baking as everyone enjoys a farm-to-table family-style meal. The cookies will, of course, make the perfect dessert. After checking in at the new hotel for some downtime, the afternoon will be filled with a walking tour of Nafplio and the Fortress of Palamidi. With dinner at a restaurant within the Old Town of Nafplio, the night will allow for reflection on the day’s fun.
Day 4: Epidaurus
Another day, another breakfast buffet, followed by an ode to the ancient arts. Epidaurus takes center stage as adventurers will head to the Sanctuary of Asklepios, which has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The spot is where holistic healing got its start. It’s also home to the iconic Theater of Epidaurus, an ancient amphitheater built with immaculate precision and stunning acoustics. Lunch at a seaside tavern will be followed up with a kayaking excursion over the submerged ruins of Epidaurus. Snorkels will be provided to witness the ancient city that has succumbed to its own underwater fate. After all that undersea fun, guests will be able to crash back at the hotel and grab dinner on their own.
Day 5-8: Rhodes
The next day starts with a major scenery change, flying adventurers from Athens to Rhodes, followed quickly by an Aegean seaside lunch to kickstart this leg of the trip. The Old Town of Rhodes (another UNESCO World Heritage Site) is the next stop, allowing guests to witness the medieval wonders of Europe’s best-preserved fortified city. After that, guests will stop for some photo ops at the Colossus of Rhodes and the Windmills of the Mandraki before enjoying leisure time and a group dinner at the beach resort.
After a breakfast buffet to kick start the first full Rhodes day, adventurers will head out to Lindos to walk through the instantly recognizable, whitewashed buildings to arrive at the Acropolis of Lindos. Ancient ruins will be on full display, right alongside the crystal clear waters below. From there, guests will board a traditional Greek boat for a trip into the Mediterranean Sea and a chance to dive in and enjoy the sun. One of the more chill days on the itinerary, guests will have the chance to enjoy the beach resort in all its glory for the afternoon and evening. For dinner, adults can choose one of the four restaurants at the resort, while young ones will spend time with the Adventure Guides for a fun dinner and movie night.
The final full day will start off with a Koskinou Village walking tour, allowing adventurers to experience the richly decorated cobbled streets of one of Rhodes’ oldest villages. Prior to lunch, guests will have the chance to whip up Melekouni, a local sweet treat. From there, lunch will be offered in the village, which has a cuisine that mixes Middle Eastern, African, and European flavors to make something all its own. One final afternoon alone to explore will lead into the farewell reception, aided by a traditional Rhodian dance performance, to celebrate your adventure.
The itinerary is truly a dream, with your Adventure Guides taking out all of the stress of traveling and letting you just enjoy the sand, sun, and sights that Greece has to offer.
