Photos: Hollywood Studios' Animation Courtyard Prepares to "Get Animated" for Cool Kid Summer

The new experiences are set to debut on May 27th.

Disney Jr. is getting replaced by some pretty cool kids this summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the change has already begun.

With the Disney Jr. characters (usually found in Animation Courtyard) having recently moved to Echo Lake for this summer’s Cool Kid Summer, the space is in the midst of changes.

The backdrops usually utilized by the Disney Jr. stars are being revamped, including one being “actively" painted, likely to hold crafts.

Also, the theater usually holding Disney Jr. Play and Dance! is getting ready for a new, limited-time offering under the Get Animated monniker. It’s set to hold surprise character experiences and live entertainment.

Cool Kid Summer kicks off at the Walt Disney World Resort on May 27th alongside the debuts of The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.
