Housekeeping Service Adjustments Coming to Disney's Aulani Resort in Hawaii

The policy remains the same for DVC Members and stays using points.

To help with environmental and sustainability initiatives, there are some changes being made to the housekeeping procedures at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii.

What’s Happening:

  • As Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii celebrates that natural environment around the resort, it comes as no surprise that there are some changes afoot in the name of environmentality at the destination.
  • Beginning May 28th, Aulani Resort housekeeping will offer room cleaning services every other day of a rental guests’ stay.
  • This procedure includes bed making, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of bathroom(s), kitchen/kitchenette and washing the dishes, removal of trash and towels, as well as replenishment of towels and amenities. Bed sheets are changed every four nights, or upon request.
  • This is a change from the previous policy for rental guests, which included all of those services on a daily basis. This change comes in support of Disney’s sustainability and environmental initiatives, while also allowing guest privacy and comfort with fewer interruptions.
  • Guests may request daily housekeeping services with service beginning the following day. No change has been made to the times in which housekeeping service takes place, which are between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Housekeeping services for Disney Vacation Club Members staying on Member Points or Member Cash Discounts remain the same and are not affected by this change.
  • This policy states that if you are staying 7 nights or less, you are scheduled for cleaning on your fourth day. If you are staying 8 nights more, a full cleaning on the fourth day and trash & towel service on your eighth day. Additional housekeeping services, including additional trash and towel service, are not available for purchase.
  • Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina Hawaii is one of Hawaii’s most acclaimed resorts, winning awards in numerous publications since its debut back in 2011.
  • The resort is inspired by the natural wonders and rich traditions of Hawaii, and celebrates the beauty, history, and spirit of the island.
