Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon Are Officially Both Open Simultaneously for the First Time in Years

Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are now both open simultaneously for the first time since 2019.

What’s Happening:

For the first time since 2019, both water parks at Walt Disney World are simultaneously open.
The timing is perfect, as Central Florida is seeing temperatures in the mid-90s this week.
Disney's Blizzard Beach underwent a brief refurbishment starting May 1st, coinciding with the reopening of Typhoon Lagoon on the same day.
As of today, May 21st, Blizzard Beach reopened, joining Typhoon Lagoon for the summer season.
Since 2019, the water parks have adopted a staggered operational schedule, allowing one park to welcome visitors for half the year while the other is closed for refurbishment.
Before that, both parks generally operated for most of the year, only shutting down briefly during the winter for minor renovations.
If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, don't forget to enjoy the complimentary access to the water parks on the day you check in.

H2O Glow After Hours:

This Friday marks the beginning of the H2O Glow After Hours event at Typhoon Lagoon.
On select nights from May 23 to September 13, the park transforms into a vibrant dance party filled with exciting water activities, complimentary snacks, and appearances by beloved characters from Toy Story.
In 2025, special pricing will be offered for families, with children's tickets available for just $42.50, significantly lower than the $85 adult ticket.
Additionally, Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can enjoy further savings on adult tickets.
