A New Ship Means a New DisneyBand+, Celebrating the Upcoming Disney Destiny
Similar to others, this band works on the ship, and on land at other Disney resorts.
The Disney Destiny is still a few months away, but Disney Cruise Line has shared a new DisneyBand+ that is “destined" to be a favorite of many passengers once on board.
What’s Happening:
- As we get closer to the maiden voyage and inaugural sailings of the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Destiny, we’re getting a new look at a brand new DisneyBand+ (or MagicBand+ if you’re still ashore) for the new ship.
- The new band features a classic Captain Mickey on one side, and art depicting the aerial view of the ship on the other side.
- Centered on the main icon of the band, complete with the colored lights that respond when activated or during attractions and entertainment, is the Disney Destiny logo.
- The band makes a great touch for heroes, villains, or anyone else sailing aboard the new ship when it launches later this year. Similar to other bands, this one can also be used on land, at Disneyland Resort or at Walt Disney World.
- Beginning in November 2025, the Disney Destiny will draw on the legacies of Disney’s larger-than-life heroes and villains to forge a legendary cruise vacation steeped in the lore of illustrious Disney stories. The new Disney Cruise Line ship will debut one-of-a-kind venues and experiences that complement the extraordinary entertainment, world-class dining and unparalleled hospitality that make every Disney Cruise Line vacation legendary.
- The Disney Destiny – sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure – will sail its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in November 2025, followed by an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean, including visits to one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations, Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
