Photos/Video: Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After's Dastardly Debut at Disney's Hollywood Studios

The new show is located behind Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Sunset Showcase.

Sunset Showcase is now home to some dastardly villains via a brand new show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We had the chance to check out a media presentation of the all-new show Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. Featuring live performers and state-of-the-art effects, the villains battle it out to decide who is truly the worst of them all.

When Sunset Showcase was first built, the space was touted as being the park’s own “black box theatre," meaning that the space could easily morph into whatever was needed. Upon its initial opening, the space was used for the Club Villain event and various dance parties. However, until recently, it was home to Lightning McQueen Racing Academy, a small show featuring a remarkable Lightning McQueen animatronic.

While Racing Academy included bench style seating, this new experience within Sunset Showcase has completely changed the space, adding a large stage and screen display, along with proper theater-style seating.

The show features Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, and Captain Hook singing and scaring as they take guests into the vicious world of the Disney Villains.

Watch – Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After:

It will officially open for all guests on May 27th alongside The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure. These two shows, while gorgeous in their own right, also will add prime (air conditioned) capacity to the park as summer crowds start to roll in. Disney Villains, a great show, and A/C? I’d say that’s a win!
