Photos: There's Gold In Those Disneyland Paris Hills in New Scavenger Hunt Activity

The citizens at Thunder Mesa in Disneyland Paris are calling on park guests to help locate some missing gold nuggets scattered throughout the land at the park. And, in return for their help, are offering up a special reward.

Signage indicates that there are Cast Members stationed throughout the land to help, as well as subtle hints to suggest that park guests look quite literally everywhere for the gold nuggets, including in select restaurants throughout Frontierland. For even more helpful hints (about the game), there is also a brochure available with a map of the land.

Along with the map are blank lines in which to write down where you’ve discovered the gold nuggets that you will bring back to a shopkeeper at the Thunder Mesa Mercantile Building who will give you your reward.

This special activity takes the lore of Disneyland Paris’ Frontierland, set in the fictitious town of Thunder Mesa, and builds it into an even more immersive world, which (according to the official story) was the roost of the legendary Thunderbird, who guarded the gold within Big Thunder Mountain from any who dared take it, creating earthquakes with flaps from its powerful wings.
