Hong Kong Disneyland Rolls Out Blue Carpet for "Lilo & Stitch" Premiere

The unforgettable Stitch was also in attendance for the celebration.

Hong Kong Disneyland President Michael Moriarty recently shared a look at the blue carpet premiere of Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch.

What’s Happening:

  • Hong Kong Disneyland recently rolled out the blue carpet for the premiere of Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch, and, of course, the lovable Experiment 626 crashed the party.
  • Thanks to an Instagram post from Hong Kong Disneyland President Michael Moriarty, fans got a look at the cinematic celebration held at the Disney Park.
  • Teaming up with Disney Studios, the film was shared inside the Fantasyland Concert Hall.
  • Stitch crashed the party, delighting attendees of the screening.

  • While the Fantasyland Concert Hall was invaded by the adorable alien for the premiere, guests will soon be invited back into the venue for the reopening of Mickey’s PhilharMagic.
  • Set to return on June 12th after an over 6-month refurbishment, the immersive 3D attraction will arrive with an added Coco segment.
  • Mickey’s PhilharMagic was an opening day attraction for Hong Kong Disneyland, debuting on September 12, 2005.
  • The attraction was a clone of the Magic Kingdom attraction that debuted in 2003, which invites guests to a special performance of Mickey Mouse’s PhilharMagic Orchestra. When Donald Duck puts on Mickey’s sorcerer hat, the short-fused duck, along with the audience, are immersed into the worlds of different Disney animated hits.
  • The 3D movie experience also includes scents, water effects and an animatronic.
