LP Radio - Springtime
Quick: Name a springtime holiday. Exactly, there are far too many to name (or argue which is the most important…shout out to you, Arbor Day!) In this edition of LP Radio, we’re combining everything spring has to offer into one, easy listening playlist. Time to celebrate [deep breath] St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mardi Gras, Arbor Day, Earth Day, and the start of Spring in one musical collection.
With all of these holidays just around the bend and the hope of a sunny and cheery season of fresh flowers and outdoor activities, this playlist is here to pair nicely with the month’s activities. As always, this twelve-song playlist includes six songs from The Walt Disney Company and another six from the rest of the musical world. All together they’ll melt together into a seamless musical experience.
Mardi Gras is celebrated with a Louisiana classic (“Jambalaya" by Little Big Town and Trombone Shorty), an ode to an icon of spring receives a fresh interpretation (“Rainbow Connection" by Barbra Streisand and Kermit), and a trip to the jungle to soak up the sun (“Strangers Like Me" by Phil Collins). The twelve songs below have been placed to be listened to in order, but feel free to shuffle to your heart’s content.
Be sure to let us know your thoughts on the playlist and ideas for what else you want to hear. Happy listening!
