Disneyland Replaces Music Box-Style Esplanade Music with New Area Music

The new loop plays during the daytime inbetween Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland’s Esplanade has debuted a new area music loop, replacing the “music box style" sounds that originally debuted with the Disneyland 70th celebration during the daytime.

Celebrate Happy:

  • The Disneyland 70th celebration is finally here!
  • Kicking off on May 16th, the entire Disneyland Resort has been decked out for the festivities, including the Esplanade.
  • An amazing art installation celebrating Sleepy Beauty Castle sits dead center between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
  • When the party debuted, a “music box" style area music loop began playing throughout the esplanade.
  • Playing classic Disney songs in a more sombre style, Disney fans were quick to criticize the new music.
  • Just over a week after the party began, a new music loop has already replaced it, at least during daytime hours.
  • Now featuring Disney music from the decades, fans will hear songs like “Celebrate Happy," “Indiana Jones Theme," “If I Didn’t Have You," and more.
  • While visiting the resort, Laughing Place caught a snippet of the new loop featuring “Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" from Carousel of Progress.

  • I’ve also heard clips from other videos where the theme song from the Disneyland Forever fireworks show can be heard.
  • Fans seem to be happy with this change, which contrasts the sleepier vibe of the original loop.
