Universal Epic Universe officially opens to guests tomorrow, May 22nd.
Tomorrow, Universal Orlando Resort will officially debut their new Epic Universe theme park. During tonight’s Grand Opening celebration, Epic Universe came to life during an epic firework spectacular.

- Tonight, Laughing Place had the honor to attend Universal Orlando Resort’s Grand Opening celebration for their third theme park, Universal Epic Universe.
- Officially opening tomorrow, May 22nd, the $7 billion investment marks a brand new chapter in the resort.
- Inviting guests in through the Chronos, the park's five immersive themed worlds combine revolutionary ride technology with Universal’s world-renowned storytelling to create an experience like no other.
- Closing out the evening, a bombastic firework spectacular exploded with excitement as invited guests got to celebrate the momentous opening.
- Scored by the amazing music of Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk, and Celestial Park, the passion for Epic Universe was palpable throughout the performance.
- The performance ended with the word “EPIC" plastered across the new Helios Grand Hotel, one of three new hotels part of the expansion and the centerpiece of Epic Universe.
- In addition to the amazing offerings in-park, Universal hosted a live stream for the grand opening on their official YouTube channel.
- Running for approximately 4 hours, fans who tuned in got to get an up close look at the new Epic Universe, including cinematic shots and in depth explorations of the park, a look at the incredible merchandise fans will be able to collect, giveaways, and interviews with celebrities, Universal executives, and the amazing creatives that brought the park to life.
- Fans also got a sneak peek at the new Universal Unleashed Experience coming to Las Vegas, more information surrounding the Universal Parks documentary series, and the announcement of a new online series called COASTARS.
- The new series will see iconic co-stars take on some of Universal’s most menacing roller coasters. During the stream, viewers got a sneak peek at the upcoming episode featuring Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers where the pair can be seen on Epic Universe’s Stardust Racers.
