Disney Reveals Gorgeous Refurbished Port Orleans - French Quarter Standard Rooms

The new rooms feature details inspired by Disney's "The Princess and the Frog."

Over 1,000 freshly refurbished rooms are now ready to host guests at Walt Disney World’s Port Orleans – French Quarter Resort. Let’s take a look at the vibrant new rooms.

What’s Happening:

  • Disney Parks Blog has shared a first look at the newly redesigned Standard guest rooms now available at Port Orleans – French Quarter.
  • The Walt Disney World hotel, which aims to transport guests to the vibrant streets of New Orleans, LA, has been a longtime favorite amongst fans.
  • With over 1,000 rooms freshly refurbished, the rooms’ new look takes on a sleeker aesthetic compared to the previous rooms, with calming blue hues contrasted by intricate patterns.
  • Beds are now decorated with plush headboards, adding an extra touch of luxury to the resort.

  • Rooms also feature the sliding bathroom door found in other Disney resort hotels, replacing the curtain that previously served as a barrier between the bedroom and sink area.
  • Flooring has also been replaced, with new Herringbone laminate flooring in the living area as well as colorful tile in the bathroom.

  • The renovated bathrooms also axe bathtubs, which may be a drawback for those with smaller children, but the shower does have a wand head built in.

  • For a little extra magic, the new Standard Rooms also feature artwork inspired by Disney’s The Princess and the Frog.
  • Some may remember French Quarter remodeled rooms back in 2020, which were lackluster at best compared to the newly revealed rooms. That refurbishment mostly stripped the room of carpeting and many of its bolder theming elements.
  • The new rooms at the Moderate resort are a perfect combination of modern amenities with details embracing the resort’s New Orleans-inspiration.
