Shanghai Disneyland to Debut New and Limited-Time Pixar Experiences Next Month

Three new (to Shanghai) characters will also be making their debut at the park as part of the fun.

Shanghai Disneyland is set to debut some new and limited time Pixar fun next month, including the debut of three Pixar favorites at the park.

What’s Happening:

  • New experiences based on the catalogue of films from Pixar Animation Studios are coming to Shanghai Disneyland next month.
  • Starting on June 3rd, Tomorrowland’s Stargazer Grill will don a new Pixar theme, transforming into Stargazer Grill Pixar Celebration.

  • The new, fully decorated, dining experience will feature Pixar characters throughout, including on the restaurant’s entrance sign, counters, dining areas, and even new guest photo spots.

  • The menu will also take on a decidedly Pixar look with new items themed to Pixar characters. One example of which is a red spicy chicken burger inspired by Anger from Inside Out and Inside Out 2.

  • Outside of themed food, three new Pixar characters are going to be making their Shanghai Disneyland debut in a new show on the E-Stage only on June 3rd.

  • There, Carl from Up, Bing Bong from Inside Out, and Edna Mode from The Incredibles and Incredibles 2 will take the stage before moving to meet and greet locations throughout the park.
  • Previously, these characters were available to meet elsewhere. Carl could be found at Disney California Adventure and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on a fairly regular basis. Edna has her own meet and greet on a regular basis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but has also appeared at other parks including Disney California Adventure. This big debut is Bing Bong, who previously had been exclusively available to meet only at Disneyland’s Pixar Place Hotel.
  • From June 3rd through June 19th, you can find these characters alongside Joy and Sadness from Inside Out and Inside Out 2, Lotso from Toy Story 3, Sulley from Monsters, Inc., and Red Panda Mei from Turning Red in Adventure Isle, Tomorrowland, and Toy Story Land at the park.
  • Elsewhere at Shanghai Disneyland, ground has broken on a new Spider-Man themed roller coaster and land at the park, after having been previously announced at last year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim.
