Third Episode of "We Call it Imagineering" Arrives, Full of Monsters, Marvel, and Main Street Vehicles

We still want to know what that Da Vinci's flying contraption thing is.

The latest episode of the “We Call it Imagineering" has arrived, and it gives all of those Disney fans glimpses of park attractions and their ride vehicles - past, present, and future.

What’s Happening:

  • As promised, today we got the long-awaited new episode of the fan-favorite webseries, “We Call it Imagineering," marking the third episode of the series overall, and the first in almost a year.
  • In the new episode, we take a closer look at the various tech and engineering that go into the ride vehicles and systems for the various attractions at the Disney Parks around the world.
  • This closer look doesn’t just feature the newest and most innovative attractions, but affords an in-depth examination of classic attractions as well - including Autopia, The Haunted Mansion, the Main Street Vehicles and more.
  • Disney Legend Bob Gurr is also featured talking about the aforementioned attractions, as well as a few others, as he was the one behind some of those landmark vehicles.

  • Viewers will also get more details about some of the new attractions coming to Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort. Namely Stark Flight Lab at Disney California Adventure, more about the Cars experience at Magic Kingdom, and a brief glimpse of the loading and lifting mechanism coming to the Monsters, Inc. flying coaster experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s a lot of what we learned from last weekend’s SXSW.
  • Plus, eagle-eyed viewers might even get a glimpse of things not specifically mentioned, but flashes on screen if you’re in the know - like footage of mockups and programming of the new Avengers Campus E-Ticket coming to Disney California Adventure.

  • This marks the first new episode in almost a year for the webseries, which last saw episode two celebrate the music of Disney attractions with a heavy emphasis on the then-soon-to-open Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World.
  • Prior to that, the first episode of the series (which debuted a month earlier) celebrated Disney’s long history of Audio-Animatronics, with a heavy emphasis on the then-soon-to-open Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World.
