Walt Disney World Decreases Down Payment on Annual Pass Monthly Payment Program, Increases Monthly Cost

The down payment has dropped by over $100, but that differences is made up elsewhere.

Walt Disney World has made a few changes to their monthly payment program on their annual passes, resulting in a lower down payment and increased monthly costs.

What’s Happening:

  • Walt Disney World is lowering the down payment for those opting into the monthly payment program on their annual passes, a program exclusively for Florida residents.
  • Decreasing from the original $205 price point, the down payment on new passes on all four tiers has decreased to $99 up front.
  • However, the price of the four tiers of annual pass has not changed, meaning the price difference will now come in the form of increased monthly payments.
  • Now, each pass has increased as follows:
    • Disney Pixie Pass - Increased from $25/month to $34/month - totaling $469.
    • Disney Pirate Pass - Increased from $57/month to $66/month - totaling $829.
    • Disney Sorcerer Pass - Increased from $79/month to $88/month - totaling $1079
    • Disney Incredi-Pass - Increased from $121/month to $130/month - totaling $1549
  • Notably, this change is only for new passes, monthly payments on existing annual passes will not change.
  • While this change is reflected on the official Walt Disney World website, it was X user Scott Gustin who pointed out the change, using the graphic above.

  • Along with the monthly payment plan being exclusive to residents of the state of Florida, so are two of these passes - the Disney Pixie Pass and the Disney Pirate Pass.
  • The Disney Sorcerer Pass is available to both Florida residents, as well as eligible Disney Vacation Club members.
  • The highest tier, the Disney Incredi-Pass, is available to all guests, though the monthly payment plan is exclusive to Florida residents.
