Photos: Amity Takes Over San Francisco for the "Jaws" 50th Anniversary Celebration at Universal Studios Florida

Check out a preview of the shark-infested celebration.

Last week, we shared some of the amazing offerings headed to Universal Orlando Resort this summer. Celebrating fifty years of Jaws, Universal Studios Florida’s San Francisco is transforming into Amity to honor the first-ever blockbuster film.

What’s Happening:

  • Universal Orlando Resort is the place to vacation this summer, with tons of returning entertainment offerings, special events, and anniversary celebrations you won’t wanna miss.
  • This, of course, is all on top of the opening of their newest theme park Epic Universe.
  • Laughing Place is currently at Universal Orlando celebrating Epic Universe’s Thursday Grand Opening, and had the chance to preview the Jaws 50th anniversary offerings at Universal Studios Florida.
  • Taking over the park’s San Francisco area, Amity has come to life at the theme park.
  • Fun theming elements have taken over the area, including several photo opportunities where fans of the iconic Steven Spielberg film can immerse themselves into some shark-infested fun.

  • Throughout the summer celebration, fans will be able to indulge in Jaws-themed treats as well as an unforgettable collection of anniversary merchandise.
  • While not quite open, a food stand called Captain Quint’s Boardwalk Snacks has appeared in the land.

  • Many fans who grew up going to Universal will remember the Jaws boat ride that used to thrill guests.
  • Closing in 2012 to make way for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley, Jaws still has a large following of fans who desperately miss the attraction.
  • Universal is giving fans an opportunity to step back onto the attraction in a new photo spot.
  • Recreating the bow from the Jaws’ ride vehicles, the photo opportunity allows guests to step behind the wheel and take on the role of one of the former attraction’s skippers.
