Preview of the D23 Expo

On Thursday, media were able to preview some of the D23 Expo pavilions. Below are pictures and a video from the Imagineering Pavilion, Consumer Products pavilion and the Art of Animation Exhibit. Some of the highlights to be sure to see:

  • The interactive fortune teller. Be sure to talk to Imagineers about how it works. The R&D at WDI is incredible. There's also a musical plant right next to it you'll want to check out.
  • The debut of a model for Disney Springs, which will be the new Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World
  • The debut of the Imagineering-designed Captain America walk-around character
  • The Consumer Products pavilion is huge with plenty of space for Marvel and Star Wars and lots of guests and artists. Spend some time there.
  • Seeing the "real thing" in the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibit is special. The focus this year is on Disney's various Oz's and Mary Poppins. There are also a lot of costumes, including from Once Upon a Time.
