Amy Aquino and Andrew Robinson Join the Cast of Prime Video’s “Spider-Noir” Series
“The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” and “Deep Space Nine” veterans will both have recurring roles.
The cast of the Nicolas Cage series Spider-Noir continues to grow, with actors Amy Aquino and Andrew Robinson joining the series.
What’s Happening:
- The Spider-Man TV spinoff Spider-Noir has added two more cast members, with Amy Aquino and Andrew Robinson joining in recurring roles, reports Deadline.
- Details on what characters each actor is playing remain secretive, but both Aquino and Robinson come to the series with impressive resumes. Aquino, recently seen in Clint Eastwood’s Juror #2, was a cast member on Bosch in recent years and had a recurring role on another Marvel-based series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, among her many credits. Robinson is known for playing the villain the Scorpio Killer in the original Dirty Harry and for genre films like Hellraiser and Child’s Play 3, along with his role as Garak on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Though he’s done some voice work in animation, including reprising Garak on Star Trek: Lower Decks, Spider-Noir will mark Robinson’s first onscreen role in several years.
- The live-action series, which will be available on both MGM+ and Prime Video, stars Nicolas Cage, playing a different version of the film noir-inspired Spider-Man variant he voiced in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The series is described as the story of an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator (Nicolas Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.
- The cast also includes Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li and Jack Huston. Guest stars include Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, and Andrew Caldwell.
- Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (Marvel’s The Punisher, Hannibal) are co-showrunners and executive producers, with Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve) directing the first two episodes.
