Andrew Cripps Named New Head of Theatrical Distribution at Walt Disney Studios

The executive replaces Tony Chambers, who was recently promoted after a $5 billion year at the box office.

Andrew Cripps, the former Warner Bros International Distribution Chief, is headed to The Walt Disney Company to lead theatrical distribution.

  • The former Warner Bros International Distribution Head arrives at Disney with three-decades of distribution experience.
  • His role begins immediately at the media giant, replacing Tony Chambers, who was recently promoted to President of The Walt Disney Company’s EMEA region.
  • Cripps was let go from Warner Bros on January 8th alongside Global Marketing head Josh Goldstine.
  • Cripps is set to report to Cathleen Taff, who serves as President of Production, Franchise Management and Theatrical Distribution at Disney Entertainment Studios.
  • His role will see him oversee the global theatrical distribution of all theatrical releases from The Walt Disney Company’s large umbrella of brands. Cripps will also head the Cinema Partnerships team, non-theatrical sales, and the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
