ABC News Announces Special Episode of “20/20” Highlighting the Oscars Plus Additional Award Season Content

The Oscars air this Sunday, March 2nd.

The Academy Awards are less than a week away. With excitement in the air for Hollywood’s biggest night, ABC News has announced a special edition of 20/20 and other programming celebrating the award ceremony.

What’s Happening:

A new episode of 20/20 celebrating The Oscars is set to premiere this Friday, February 28th at 8PM EST/PST on ABC.
Titled Countdown to the Oscars with Robin Roberts: A Special Edition of 20/20, the special will see host Robin Roberts as she interviews several Oscar nominees, including Cynthia Erivo (Best Leading Actress for Wicked), Jesse Eisenberg (Best Original Screenplay for A Real Pain), Timothée Chalamet (Best Lead Actor for A Complete Unknown), Demi Moore (Best Leading Actress for The Substance) and more.
Roberts will also give exclusive behind the scenes look at the dresses worn for Wicked with costume designer Paul Tazewell, who was nominated for his work in the film.
Other interviews will include Best Director nominees Coralie Fargeat (The Substance) and James Mangold (A Complete Unknown).
Chris Connelly will also interview first-time host Conan O’Brien to preview what's to come on Oscars night.

  - Lara Spencer will be on the ground in Los Angeles from Wednesday to Friday, previewing Oscars preparations.
