Jar Jar Binks Actor Ahmed Best and Visual Effects Supervisor John Knoll to Attend Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025

Star Wars Celebration 2025 will take place April 18th–20th, 2025 in Japan.

Two more members of the Star Wars family have been confirmed to attend Star Wars Celebration 2025, which takes place this April in Japan.

What’s Happening:

  • The actor behind Jar Jar Binks and an Academy Award-winning visual effects supervisor are headed to Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025.
  • Ahmed Best, who first helped bring Jar Jar to life for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace more than 25 years ago, has since played the character in every prequel film, voiced Binks in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and mostly recently put a new twist on the character as Darth Jar Jar in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.
  • He also appeared in person as the esteemed Jedi who rescued a young Grogu from Order 66 in Season 3 of The Mandalorian.
  • Plus, Academy Award-winning visual effects supervisor John Knoll will be on hand to share his nearly four decades of experience at Industrial Light & Magic.
  • Other celebrity guests announced for Star Wars Celebration Japan include actors Diego Luna (Cassian Andor), Alan Tudyk (K-2SO), Manny Jacinto (Qimir / The Stranger), Daniel Logan (Young Boba Fett), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett / Boba Fett), production designer Doug Chiang, plus voice actress / Her Universe creator Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano).
