“Slow Horses” Actor Christopher Chung Joins Season 2 of “Doctor Who”

The actor will portray Cassio in “one of the darkest, toughest episodes ever made.”

Slow Horses actor Christopher Chung is set for an appearance in season 2 of Doctor Who.

  • Australian actor Christopher Chung is joining the cast of Doctor Who as a character simply known as “Cassio."
  • He’ll meet the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and his new companion Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) for a thrilling adventure in the forthcoming second season – described by showrunner Russell T Davies as one of the “toughest episodes we’ve ever made."
  • In addition to his role opposite Gary Oldman in Apple TV+’s Slow Horses, Chung has also appeared in the BBC’s Waterloo Road and the Steve McQueen 2024 movie, Blitz.
  • Doctor Who returns to Disney+ in 2025 for some explosive new adventures, with old and new friends alike.
