Disney Branded Television and the BBC have announced that the second season of Doctor Who is set to debut in April.

- Disney Branded Television and the BBC have officially revealed that the second season of Doctor Who will premiere on Saturday, April 12, at 12 a.m. PDT / 3 a.m. EDT on Disney+, where available, and will be exclusively accessible on the BBC and BBC iPlayer in the UK.
- This season will consist of eight episodes, with new episodes being released weekly.
- In the second episode of the season, Emmy Award winner Alan Cumming will guest star as Mr. Ring-a-Ding, a lively and funny cartoon character living in Sunny Town with his friend, Sunshine Sally.
- However, in 1952, after years of appearing in cinema reruns, Mr. Ring-a-Ding unexpectedly looks beyond the screen into the real world, resulting in shocking consequences.
- Cumming is returning to the Whoniverse, having previously played King James I in the 2018 episode The Witchfinders.
Synopsis:
- The Doctor meets Belinda Chandra and sets off on an epic quest to bring her back to Earth.
- Yet, an enigmatic force stands in their way, forcing the time-traveling TARDIS crew to face extraordinary threats, powerful foes, and immense terrors.
