“Fear Street” Star Kiana Madeira Joins “Malcolm in the Middle” Revival for Disney+

The beloved sitcom is returning for a four episode run on Disney+

Fear Street star Kiana Madeira is set to star in the upcoming revival of Malcolm in the Middle for Disney+.

What’s Happening:

Variety reports that Madeira, perhaps best known for her starring role in Netflix’s Fear Street film trilogy, has landed a key role in the revival of Malcolm in the Middle.
Back in December, Disney+ ordered four new episodes of the Emmy Award-winning sitcom that aired for seven seasons on Fox.
Stars Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek are all set to return for the episodes, which are set around Malcolm and his daughter being pulled into his parents’ 40th wedding anniversary party.
Madeira will play Tristan, described as “Malcolm’s charming and opinionated girlfriend who – by any rational standard – is way out of his league."
Other prior roles for Madeira include the After film franchise at Netflix, CW’s The Flash and voicing Supergirl in the animated series My Adventures with Superman.
Linwod Boomer created the original series and returns as writer and executive producer on the revival. Ken Kwapis will direct all four episodes and executive produce.
The entire series of Malcolm in the Middle is currently streaming on Hulu.
No timeline has yet to be announced for the release of these new episodes of the series.
