“Disney Lorcana” Temporarily Pauses Challenges and World Championship to Rethink Event Strategy

The big event was originally slated for later this year.

It appears that the highly-anticipated Disney Lorcana World Championship might be held off for a little while while the Disney Lorcana team rethinks the event.

What’s Happening:

  • Disney Lorcana, the popular trading card game, is approaching the end of their first season of Disney Lorcana Challenge.
  • While they have a lot to celebrate, including over 17,000 players participating in nearly 150,000 games of Disney Lorcana TCG, their wrap up of the season will leave fans wondering more about their upcoming World Championship.
  • Originally slated to occur sometime at Walt Disney World in 2025, verbiage on the official page implies that they are rethinking the event.
  • Regarding the World Championship and the Disney Lorcana Challenge Series, the official site reads, “We’re taking a moment to regroup, hire more team members, and build on everything you loved about the first year. This pause will allow us to craft a better premier event experience for everyone. We’re incredibly excited about what’s to come and are working diligently to plan the next season while making the Disney Lorcana World Championship an unforgettable event.“
