John Malkovich, Mark Ruffalo, and Parker Posey Join Cast of Searchlight’s “Wild Horse Nine”
The film is set to go into production next month.
Three more actors have been added to star alongside Sam Rockwell in Martin McDonagh’s Wild Horse Nine. The film marks McDonagh and Searchlight Pictures first collaboration since 2022’s The Banshees of Inisherin.

- It is set to film in Rapa Nui, the indigenous name for Easter Island, due to its incomparable cultural landscape and its remote setting.
- Searchlight picked up the project in 2021, with Rockwell, Oscar Isaac, and Christopher Walken tied to the project.
- Isaac and Walken are no longer involved with the project.
- Searchlight’s senior Vice President of production Taylor Friedman and director of development and production Peter Spencer are overseeing the project.
- Wild Horse Nine is being produced by Graham Broadbent, Pete Czerin and Anita Overland.
