Matthew Lillard Joins Season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again”

The Shaggy actor has joined the cast of the new Daredevil series, ahead of season 1’s premiere in just two days.

Even before the first season of Daredevil: Born Again has debuted, we already have some casting news for the second season, with Matthew Lillard set to join the cast.

Deadline reports that Matthew Lillard, perhaps best known for personifying the role of Shaggy in Scooby-Doo, has joined the cast of the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.
Details regarding Lillard’s role are being kept under lock and key, as production on the new season is set to begin this week.
Lillard will be making a return to another popular franchise, set to appear in the upcoming Scream 7. He also appeared in Five Nights at Freddy’s and its upcoming sequel.
In Daredevil: Born Again, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
The series also stars Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, with Ayelet Zurer and Jon Bernthal.
Dario Scardapane serves as showrunner, while episodes are directed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd.
Daredevil: Born Again premieres Tuesday, March 4th at 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET, exclusively on Disney+.
