Rachel Zegler Performs “Waiting on a Wish” from “Snow White” in Tokyo as a New Music Video is Released

Zegler was joined by Japanese singer Sakura Kiryu in Tokyo, while the music video features an acoustic version.

With the media tour for Disney’s new live-action Snow White underway, Rachel Zegler performed the film’s first single, the new song “Waiting on a Wish," in Tokyo, while a new music video for the song has been released.

What’s Happening:

  • On the heels of first releasing the song yesterday, Zegler – who plays the title role in Snow White – joined singer Sakura Kiryu in Tokyo to perform “Waiting on a Wish" at Roppongi Hills Arena.
  • Kiryu is the Japanese dubbing voice for Snow White in the film.

  • In addition, a new music video for “Waiting on a Wish" was released by Disney, featuring Zegler joined by a guitarist for an acoustic version of the song, with footage from Snow White intermixed.
  • After its debut on SiriusXM’s Disney Hits channel yesterday, “Waiting on a Wish" is available now digitally on Amazon, Apple Music, and Spotify. The original soundtrack from Snow White will be released March 14.

  • “Waiting on a Wish" was written by EGOT winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, The Greatest Showman, 2019’s Aladdin), with additional lyrics by Jack Feldman.
  • Snow White opens March 21, 2025.
