Tony Dalton to Reprise Role of The Swordsman in “Daredevil: Born Again”
The Disney+ series is set to premiere on March 4th, 2025.
The actor is returning to reprise his role from Hawkeye, set to play The Swordsman in Daredevil: Born Again.
What’s Happening:
- Variety exclusively reports that Tony Dalton will appear in two episodes of Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again.
- Reprising his MCU appearance as Duquesne AKA The Swordsman, Dalton made his MCU debut in 2021 in Hawkeye.
- In a twist from the characters comic origins, Duquesne was engaged to Hawkeye/Kate Bishop’s (Hailee Steinfend) mother Eleanor. The series framed the character as a villain, blaming him for his uncle’s murder and stealing the previous Hawkeye’s (Jeremy Renner) sword.
- However, in a twist, Eleanor Bishop was behind the plot all along, working alongside Wilson Fisk, AKA the Kingpin.
- With Vincent D’Onofrio returning as Kingpin, fans shouldn’t be surprised to see Dalton join his former MCU co-star in the new series.
- Daredevil: Born Again will also see the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, all seen in Netflix’s Daredevil series.
- Fans will also see Jon Bernthal return as punisher after a two season run of the character on his own Netflix show.
