“Coco” Characters Added to “it’s a small world” as Part of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary
Toy Story Midway Mania! will also see some alterations to acknowledge the milestone.
As part of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, a couple of attractions are getting some changes, including the addition of Coco characters to “it’s a small world."
What’s Happening:
- With Disneyland celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, a couple of updates and changes have been announced for longtime attractions.
- Most notably, Disneyland’s “it’s a small world" is adding two new familiar characters to the mix, with Miguel and Dante from Pixar’s Coco soon to be seen among the array of singing children (and some animal pals) in the classic attraction. Disney notes the duo will be “silhouetted by a stunning marigold bridge," revealing they will be part of “it’s a small world" when the attraction reopens on April 25, 2025.
- Over at California Adventure, there will be some alterations to Toy Story Midway Mania! that looks to be more temporary. There, nods to the 70th anniversary will be layered into the attraction as you compete for the highest score, with concept art showing “70" numbers added to the targets held by Woody and Buzz as an example.
- These changes will be seen at Toy Story Midway Mania! beginning May 16, 2025.
