Photos: Main Entrance to Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama Removed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The area is being transformed into Pueblo Esperanza, which will feature an “Encanto” attraction and a new carousel with wood carved animals characters from Disney stories.

Disney is wasting no time removing the old remnants of Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama, as the main entrance signage to the land has now been removed.

What’s Happening:

  • Construction walls surrounded Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama in DinoLand USA at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on the Morning of January 13th, as work gets underway to transform this area of the park into a new Tropical Americas land.
  • Earlier this week, the former entrance to Dino-Rama across from the land’s main gift shop, Dino Treasures, was completely removed (as seen above).
  • Below, a look at the marquee shortly after it was surrounded by construction walls, and below that, a view from just before the marquee was taken down.

  • The large Cementosaurus, which served as the entrance to Dino-Rama from the other side approaching from Asia, is still in place at this time.
