70th Anniversary Décor Around the Disneyland Resort Will Invite Guests to “Celebrate Happy”
Disneyland’s 70th anniversary festivities kick off on May 16th, 2025.
As Disneyland continues to reveal details about its landmark 70th Anniversary celebrations, we’re getting a new look at some of the decor that will be found throughout the Disneyland Resort for the festivities.
What’s Happening:
- Among the details revealed by the Disney Parks Blog for the Disneyland 70th Anniversary celebration this summer is some of the decor you’ll find all around the Disneyland Resort.
- The Esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will feature a 50-foot tall sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle with colorful glass panels and golden charms representing the five original lands.
- When you step through the gates of Disneyland Park, the iconic floral Mickey will welcome you to the celebration with a display of vibrant flowers, and multi-colored banners and bunting will decorate Main Street, U.S.A.
- In the heart of Town Square, you’ll spot an installation featuring Mickey and Minnie created just for the anniversary.
- As previously revealed during the initial announcement of the 70th Anniversary, an elegant medallion will adorn Sleeping Beauty Castle.
- Over at Disney California Adventure, the Carthay Circle Restaurant will also be decked out in 70th colors. In the evenings, the exterior of the restaurant will invite everyone to “celebrate happy" during a special moment filled with music, lights and projection effects.
- Set to the tune of “Celebrate Happy" – an original song created just for the event – this interlude further illuminates Carthay Circle and Buena Vista Street with twinkling lights, dynamic projections and bursts of color.
- Finally, 70th décor will also extend into the Downtown Disney District and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort – including this display featuring Ariel across from the World of Disney store.
