A new video is giving us a sneak peek at the opening float for Hong Kong Disneyland’s new “Friendtastic!" daytime parade – debuting later this year in celebration of the park’s 20th anniversary.

What’s Happening:

  • The year-long “The Most Magical Party of All" will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong Disneyland, which first opened on September 12th, 2005.
  • As part of the festivities, the brand-new “Friendtastic!" parade will debut as the largest ever in scale at Hong Kong Disneyland, featuring 11 party floats with over 100 performers and so many Disney friends, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and more.
  • Michael Moriarty, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, shared a video on his Instagram account offering a sneak peek at the opening float of the parade, which you can also see in the concept art above.
  • The float will carry Mickey and his friends, and features larger-than-life flowers inspired by the Hong Kong Bauhinia.
  • The video also revealed that the parade will feature a show stop, with the total length of the performance lasting 30 minutes from step off to step down.

  • The 20th anniversary celebration of Hong Kong Disneyland will also include plenty of decor, a new stage show, a special edition of the nighttime spectacular Momentous, and more.
