Photos: Scaffolding Rises Around the Italy Pavilion’s St. Mark’s Campanile

Refurbishment on the EPCOT belltower has begun.

Construction walls have gone up around EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion as they refurbish one of the area’s major structures.

What’s Happening:

  • Over at EPCOT, construction walls, scaffolding, and scrim have gone up around the Italy Pavilion’s replica of the St. Mark’s Campanile.
  • The bell tower, which is scaled down compared to its real life counterpart, towers of the pavilion.
  • Currently, scaffolding only extends to about a fifth of the way up the tower.
  • No buildings and walkways are currently affected by the refurbishment, meaning guests are still able to walk all the way around the structure.

  • The extent of the refurbishment is unclear at this time.
