Photos/Video: “Newsies” Cast Members Surprise Kara Lindsay During Disney On Broadway Concert at EPCOT
Lindsay originated the role of Katherine in the Broadway production of "Newsies."
During a performance of the Disney On Broadway Concert Series at EPCOT, Newsies performer Kara Lindsay was surprised by former cast members of the Broadway production.
What’s Happening:
- Kara Lindsay (Newsies) and Rodney Ingram (Aladdin) delighted audiences at EPCOT today as a part of the Disney On Broadway Concert Series for EPCOT’S International Festival of the Arts.
- The two Broadway veterans were performing classic Broadway Disney hits, as scheduled, however, Ingram had a surprise up his sleeve.
- “Going off-script," as he put it, he ushered Lindsay up to the top of the stage, where he revealed several of the Broadway cast of Newsies was there to surprise her.
- Screaming in excitement, the actress was joined on stage by the group as they performed “King of New York" from the Broadway show.
- Afterwards, Ingram had another surprise for Lindsay.
- Lindsay, who originated the role of Katherine Plumber, was joined by actor Adam Kaplan to perform the act 2 duet “Something to Believe In."
- Kaplan joined the cast in 2013, where he played several roles in the production, including the starring role of Jack Kelly.
