Photos: Red Car Trolley Returns as Photo Op While Buena Vista Street Facades Go Under Refurbishment
Guests walking into Disney California Adventure for the first day of the 2025 Food & Wine Festival will be greeted by a slew of construction walls all throughout Buena Vista Street.
Before coming across walls, however, you’ll encounter an old favorite in a new form – the Red Car Trolley! After closing permanently on February 8th, Trolley 717 has been permanently parked at the former Buena Vista Street station for the attraction – allowing guests to at least take a photo with the iconic mode of transportation.
Most of the facades on the left side of the street, making up Los Feliz Five & Dime, Big Top Toys and Elias & Co., are covered in scaffolding – but not tarps, as we spotted many workers working on the facades.
All of the stores remain open while work is taking place.
Also currently covered in scaffolding and tarps is the Carthay Circle Restaurant. As with the stores, the restaurant remains open to patrons at this time.
