Shanghai Disney Resort Announces Shanghai Disney Dream Vocational Campus Virtual College Program

The first "virtual campus" will open at Shanghai Institute of Tourism this March.

Shanghai Disney Resort has unveiled a new innovative virtual college program that will help foster the next generation of hospitality workers based on the resort’s operational success.

What’s Happening:

Announced today, Shanghai Disney Resort is debuting a new virtual college program titled Shanghai Disney Dream Vocational Campus.
The program aims to grow talent in the hospitality and tourism industry based on Disney’s successful operational model by partnering with local universities.
Kicking off this March at Shanghai Institute of Tourism, the program aims to develop high quality talent as well as incredible employment opportunities that embrace the ever evolving nature of the tourism industry.
The announcement was hosted at Shanghai Disney Resort and was attended by leaders, faculty and students of Shanghai Institute of Tourism as well as leaders of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education, Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, Administrative Commission of Shanghai International Resort and Shanghai Shendi Group.
The man, the mouse, the legend, Mr. Mickey Mouse was also there to celebrate the new initiative.
Shanghai Disney Resort is no stranger to collaborating with Chinese universities. Having partnered with over 150 schools around the country, the resort has supported talent development through campus events, recruitment programs, and internship opportunities.
