Walt Disney Imagineering Shares a Sneak Peek at the Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern Coming to Magic Kingdom
The new lounge is scheduled to open later this year.
Walt Disney Imagineering has given a sneak peek of the progress for the new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge coming to the Walt Disney World Resort.
What’s Happening:
- Walt Disney Imagineering shared a video and update on the progress of the new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge currently under construction at the Magic Kingdom.
- In the video, Imagineer Montse discusses the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge, which is scheduled to open in late 2025.
- Montse shares that the area behind her will house the bar, featuring an audio-animatronic Barker Bird named Peg-Leg Pete. This Barker Bird previously resided outside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction from 1973 to 2006.
- The Captain's Quarters is introduced as a space where guests can relax and enjoy the food and beverages available in the lounge.
- The lounge is currently under construction next to the Plaza Del Sol Caribe Bazar, which houses the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop.
- This new venue will take the place of the former Pirates League location.
