Puppet, Production, and Processional Pics Tease New Entertainment Coming to WDW This Summer

We're looking forward to all of it!

Get a fun look at some new puppets, art, and costumes that will be seen in a number of new entertainment offerings coming to Walt Disney World this Summer.

What’s Happening:

  • Disney Live Entertainment is sharing a behind the scenes look at two of their upcoming new stage productions, both of which will soon be at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.
  • In the photoset, which was shared to Instagram, we can see some of the digital art behind the new “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After" show, featuring (nearly all) the Disney Villains.
  • Alongside the art, we also are getting a look at some of the fun new puppets that will be featured in “The Little Mermaid - A Musical Adventure."
  • Further in the photoset, we also see some of the illuminated costumes as they will appear in Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, a new nighttime parade that will make its way through Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

  • All of these new productions are slated to debut this Summer at the parks, as was revealed by Walt Disney World after a number of these projects were announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
  • The new “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After" replaces the former Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy in the Sunset Showcase behind Rock & Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, while “The Little Mermaid - A Musical Adventure" will debut in the long dormant location that once played host to Voyage of the Little Mermaid in the park’s Animation Courtyard area.
  • “Disney Starlight - Dream the Night Away" will be the first brand new nighttime parade since SpectroMagic debuted at the park back in the early 90’s before ultimately glowing away for the resurgence of the Main Street Electrical Parade in 2010, itself staying at the park until 2016, leaving the park without an evening processional since.
  • For more of the entertainment and attractions that are set to debut across Walt Disney World, be sure to check out our post here, and look fondly back on when many of the projects were announced musically via our video below.
