Photos: Favorite Fiends Invade Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Celebrate Villaintine’s Day
A very special pop-up celebration is taking place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, celebrating some of our favorite fiends - with Villaintine’s Day! Throughout the park, fans can find their favorite villains for meeting and greeting, fun backdrops, and even some fun trading cards.
Backdrops, like this marquee near Sid Caheunga’s One-Of-A-Kind Shop, are featured throughout, most of which feature our favorite villains in front of them.
If you’re headed to the park today (and today only for this special fun), be sure to look out for Maleficent on Grand Ave, Cruella close to the entrance of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and Jafar near Walt Disney Presents just off the Animation Courtyard.
Park guests are given a sheet of Valentine’s cards featuring a handful of the Disney Villains, including Hades, Captain Hook, Jafar, Evil Queen, Maleficent, and Cruella De Vil. If you’re not visiting the park today and want to get your hands on these cards, be sure to download them over at the Disney Parks Blog, where they have provided a PDF so you can download at home!
This whole celebration comes in advance of a new show set to debut this summer at the park, “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After." In this show, the Magic Mirror has summoned us to hear them out. Never ones to let a dramatic performance pass them by, fiendish foes Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent will break through the glass and take the stage to prove once and for all why they are the most misunderstood. In the end, it will be on you to make the final call in a delightfully wicked finale filled with dozens of the most infamous evildoers awaiting your decision from within the Mirror’s realm. The new show is expected to open alongside “The Little Mermaid - A Musical Adventure" this summer.
