Penny Proud Adorns New “The Proud Family” Apparel at Walt Disney World

Guests visiting Walt Disney World can get their hands on a special long sleeve shirt featuring a classic Disney Channel series, The Proud Family.

The shirt celebrates the main character from the series, which originally ran on the Disney Channel with new episodes from 2001 to 2005. Penny’s name is thematically adorned across the front of the shirt, with The Proud Family logo across the back.

Don’t worry, Penny herself is featured on the sleeve of the shirt in a signature pose. This shirt in particular was spotted at Tren-D at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World. Typically, these types of shirts celebrating the different properties from Disney Channel or films can also be found at various locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, and even the Disneyland Resort.

As of the time of this writing, the shirt could be found for $59.99 plus tax. If you’re thinking this seems like a strange time to celebrate the show, keep in mind that we saw a second season of the rebooted series in 2023, with The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder picking up the story of its central character, Penny Proud, and her iconic family: parents Oscar and Trudy, twin siblings BeBe and CeCe, and grandmother Suga Mama (and Puff!).

The rebooted series also featured her loyal crew: Dijonay Jones, LaCienega Boulevardez, Zoey Howzer, Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins and Michael Collins and continues to to tell entertaining and laugh out-loud stories, while highlighting culturally specific experiences of the Black community and addressing universal topics.
