Photos / Video: Searchlight Pictures Hosts “A Complete Unknown” Digital Release Party in West Hollywood, California
Yesterday evening in West Hollywood, California, the Disney-owned studio Searchlight Pictures held a digital release party for its Oscar-nominated Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, and Laughing Place was invited to attend. Below you’ll find photos and video from my experience at the event.
The centerpiece of the evening was a 30-minute performance by talented folk musician Lee DeWyze, who even covered two Dylan songs during his set.

Rewinding time a bit to when I first arrived at the venue, there was a gallery display in the lobby of the hotel featuring photographs of Bob Dylan, while the party itself was held in the rear courtyard where I found a nice water feature. A motorcycle photo op for A Complete Unknown was set up near the entrance to the gathering.
An additional guitar-centric photo op was available closer to the event space, while the open bar featured A Complete Unknown napkins and a specially themed drink menu. Hors d'oeuvres and dessert were also served at the party.
Below are some more examples of still photography from the movie that were on display in the event space, and at the very bottom you’ll see the result of my taking part in the motorcycle photo op pictured above. Overall I’d say it was a really fun night in celebration of an acclaimed film.
A Complete Unknown will be released on digital platforms this coming Tuesday, February 25th.
