2025 Best Picture Winner “Anora” Coming to Disney-Owned Hulu Streaming Service Two Weeks from Now

Hulu needs a win after last night's Oscars livestream interruptions.

Movie fans hoping to have another chance to see Anora in the wake of its Oscars success can check out the acclaimed film when it hits Hulu on Monday, March 17th.

What’s happening:

  • Filmmaker Sean Baker’s 2024 dramedy Anora, which won Best Picture at the 97th Annual Academy Awards last night, will be arriving on the Disney-owned Hulu streaming service two weeks from today– Monday, March 17th.
  • Anora is the story of a sex worker (played by Best Actress winner Mikey Madison) who accepts a marriage proposal from the son of a Russian oligarch, only to discover that the offer isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be.
  • In addition to Best Picture and Best Actress, Anora also won Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing for the multitalented Baker himself.
  • Amusingly, the top comment under Hulu’s Instagram post announcing the movie’s imminent arrival on the platform reads, “I wonder if Hulu will cut the last 20 min of the movie off too…"
  • This is in reference to numerous Hulu subscribers missing large chunks of the Academy Awards ceremony (including Madison and Anora itself winning their big prizes) yesterday evening due to outages and an early cutoff on the streaming service.

What they’re saying:

  • Hulu: “Anora, winner of 5 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, arrives March 17 on Hulu."
