FX Teases “Alien: Earth” SXSW Immersive Experience with New Trailer
Fans Can Explore a Crash Site That Includes Photo Ops, Merchandise, and Interactive Specimens
FX has released an exciting teaser trailer for its highly anticipated SXSW activation themed to the upcoming series Alien: Earth.
What’s Happening:
- SXSW attendees will be able to interact with the Alien franchise through FX’s immersive activation in Austin, TX.
- On March 7th and 8th, fans can explore a mysterious wreckage site in the heart of Austin that will tease new details from Alien: Earth, coming to Hulu this summer.
- Visitors will be scanned for alien parasites before receiving credentials and instructions, embarking them on an exploratory mission through the ship wreckage where they will have the chance to get up close and personal with alien specimens.
- The activation promises a few scares in the form of a containment breach. Like FX’s TV-MA warnings say, discretion is advised.
- Fans can also pick up exclusive merchandise and participate in themed photo opportunities at the activation. The Westin Downtown Austin, which overlooks the SXSW immersive experience, will also be wrapped with FX’s Alien: Earth artwork throughout the festival.
- The teaser trailer, embedded below, teases the story of the activation, showcasing a ship crashing to Earth with a warning that “Specimens are loose."
