What’s Happening:

  • IMPACT x Nightline investigates unusual instances of IVF complications, featuring a woman who is taking legal action against a fertility clinic after giving birth to a child that is not genetically hers, as well as a family that exchanged infants with another couple due to an embryo mix-up.
  • The episode, hosted by Nightline co-anchor Juju Chang, includes interviews with families impacted by significant errors at fertility clinics, featuring Alexander and Daphna Cardinale, Krystena Murray, and their attorney Adam Wolf.
  • Other interviews include Dov Fox, the director of the Center for Health Law Policy and Bioethics; Lucky Sekhon, an ob-gyn and reproductive endocrinologist at RMA of New York; and Jessica Macdonald, the chief cryobiologist and tissue bank director at Boston IVF.
