Comedian and Marvel / Star Wars Actor Kumail Nanjiani Is Getting His Own Hulu Standup Comedy Special

Nanjiani is also known for "The Big Sick" and "Stuber."

Popular comedic actor Kumail Nanjiani will be getting his own standup comedy special on the Disney-owned Hulu streaming service, after more than a decade of focusing on his Hollywood acting career.

What’s happening:

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kumail Nanjiani is set to record his second-ever standup comedy special (after Comedy Central’s Beta Male in 2013) for Hulu, which is owned by The Walt Disney Company.
No release date or specific title has yet been announced for the special. Hulu’s “Hularious" standup comedy banner launched back in November 2024 with Jim Gaffigan’s The Skinny special.
Kumail Najiani has been performing standup comedy for more than 20 years, and as an actor he was a regular cast member on HBO’s Silicon Valley. He is best known to Disney fans as Kingo in Marvel Studios’ Eternals and as Haja Estree in Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi live-action Disney+ series. He also recently co-starred as Rudy Thurber in season four of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building and as Nadeem in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire for Sony Pictures.
