“The Bachelorette” Taking Summer 2025 Off with “Bachelor in Paradise” Taking Its Place
Don’t worry, the show has NOT been cancelled.
The Bachelorette will be taking the year off on ABC, with Bachelor in Paradise set to take its spot this summer.
What’s Happening:
- Deadline reports that The Bachelorette, which has seen its last three seasons airing in July, will not air this year.
- The show has not been canceled, and will very likely return to ABC in the near future. While it’s unlikely to air this year, insiders have not completely ruled out its return later this year.
- This move is not unprecedented, as Bachelor in Paradise did not air last year, with its spot taken by The Golden Bachelorette. The former show will return this summer with a new showrunner, Scott Teti.
- The Bachelorette has previously taken years off the schedule – namely in 2006 and 2007.
- The news comes as ABC is three weeks into the current season of The Bachelor, featuring 25 hopefuls vying for the love of Grant Ellis.
