Disney Announces 2016 Not-So-Scary Dates And More Restrictive Costume Guidelines
Walt Disney World has announced the 2016 dates for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party as well as new costuming guidelines.
This year's edition will see the return of Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and Happy HalloWishes fireworks as well as trick-or-treating throughout the Magic Kingdom.
This year's dates are:
- September – 2, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 29, 30
- October – 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31
Last December, Disney released new admission guidelines which reiterated that costumes would not be allowed for guests aged 14 years and older. At that time, Disney stated they were not aware of any exceptions to this policy. Now we know that Disney will ease the policy for their annual Halloween events.
Ticket prices and on-sale dates will be announced at a future date. With Disney launching the "After Hours" program at $149 we may see a significant increase in the prices from $63-$87.
